I VAINS OF JENNA sono una band Sleaze Rock / Hair Metal nata nel gennaio del 2005 a Falkenberg (Svezia). Nel 2006 la band ha pubblicato il suo disco d'esordio, Lit Up/Let Down, sotto Filthy Note, l'etichetta di Bam Margera della nota serie di MTV Jackass. Il 2010 ha visto l'ingresso in formazione del vocalist americano Jesse Forte che, portando in dote influenze più blues ha donato alla band un'appeal radiofonico che ad oggi li sta premiando alla grande aprendo loro le porte anche del successo mainstream. La cover di "fuck you" di Cee-lo, tratta dal loro album di cover "titolo", ha ottenuto un enorme successo radiofonico, e in tempi più recenti anche Metal Hammer Italia si è occupato di loro all'interno dello splendido speciale sul rock scandinavo del numero di Aprile '11, mese in cui esce il loro ultimo disco chiamato Revers Tripped.

Da San Francisco, California, terra dei bathhouse e burrito, arrivano le Turbonegra, tribute band al femminile del gruppo più grandioso del mondo: i TURBONEGRO! Le Turbonegra sono un gruppo completamente al femminile senza paura, capaci di far tacere i non credenti con un solo accordo.

Comunque: per chi non lo sapesse i Gonzales sono un quartetto triestino - veneto di rock'n'roll sparatissimo inequivocabilmente motörheadiano. L'innegabile fatto che i pezzi sono tutti sullo stesso tiro e tutti molto simili non deve affatto essere usato come critica ad una band potente ed assassina nella sua precisione, e feconda comunque di innumerevoli azzeccatissime canzoni; se cercate l'originalità e la varietà cercate altrove, in altri generi pretenziosi e noiosi.

GONZALES are formed in spring 2004 by Markey Moon and B. (guitar and bass of COSMOGRINGOS, italian instrumental psychedelic garage surf from Triest), Pam Christensen (drummer of crust band STILLICIDIO) and Mark Simon Hell (guitarist in various hardcore bands as LA PIOVRA, OHUZARU, NAB and among others). - In July 2004 they record the song "Dark Mood" which will be part of the compilation "Desert Sound - The Spaghetti Sessions Vol...1" produced by the italian label W*UCK Records. - In March 2005 they record 10 songs of very intense punk'n'roll influenced by punk, classic rock and garage which became their first cd, "HELL DRIVE", out in Summer 05 and produced by KORNALCIELO RECORDS and 8RECORDS. - In 2006 they take part in the D.I.Y. compilation "La Nostra Scelta" together with the Italian punk & hardcore bands, with the song "It's Up To You". - In winter 2006 drummer Pam Christensen left the band, and his place has been taken by Malcolm B. Eddie & The Hot Rods è una band pub rock fondata a Essex nel 1975. La band fu inizialmente chiamata col nome 'Buckshee' nel 1973. Il bassista Rob Steel è conosciuto anche per il suo soprannome, 'The Hustler'. Il nome della band venne cambiato in "Eddie and the Hot Rods" dopo l'entrata di Dave Higgs nel gruppo. Dave era più esperto, e fu lui a dare la spinta che aiutò la band a raggiungere notorietà nel 1975.

Eddie & The Hot Rods è spesso considerata una delle tante band punk rock che nacquero nella città nella a metà degli anni settanta, ma in realtà la band è stata maggiormente influenzata da gruppi come i Who e The Kinks, e altre band pub rock come Dr Feelgood o Graham Parker & the Rumour. Il loro repertorio consiste in Chicago blues, Rock e soul cover, più canzoni in stili simili scritte dal chitarrista della band, Higgs.

Prima di raggiungere il successo nel 1977, gli Hot Rods ebbero molti cambi di formazione: uno dei primi membri a lasciare la band fu lo stesso Eddie, un manichino che figurava molto nei primi spettacoli del gruppo. La band consisteva di Barrie Masters alla voce, Pete Wall e Dave Higgs chitarristi, Rob Steel bassista e Steve Nicol batterista. Ed Hollis, fratello di Mark Hollis dei Talk Talk divenne il loro manager, e la band fu assunta da Island Records.

Nel 1976, Lew Lewis e Paul Gray sostituirono Wall and Steel. Lewis rimase nel gruppo fino al rilascio dei primi due singoli della band prima di lasciare. Con la nuova linea, gli Hot Rods suonarono al famoso Marquee Club di Londra - la loro band d'apertura fu una giovane band chiamata Sex Pistols. Durante la residenza al club nel 1976 il gruppo duettò a settimane alternate con gli AC/DC. La band apparse per la prima volta nella UK Singles Chart alla fine di quell'anno con l'EP "Live at the Marquee" e il singolo "Teenage Depression", un'energetica canzone rock and roll.

The five guys grew up listenin' 60's Garage, Punk Rock, 50's R'n'R, Blues. Their music is inspired by american roots, supported by wild raw sound & politically uncorrect lyrics.

In 1998 Russ Surfer a former drummer for The Highliners started a new band. This time as the front man. The style was based on his love of Surfin’, 50s Hot Rods & cult films. The name “Death Valley Surfers” came from a Surfin’ gang in the 80’s, who all cruised around in old cars & hot rods.
DVS have a sound like Bo-Diddley on speed. They surf with a Punkabilly style.
The Saxophone & Contra Bass pump out an infectious rhythm that rocks your bones.
They call it Crazy Rock’n’Roll.
The plan was to have fun on & off stage.
Don’t be surprise to see a stage full of dancing girls & Russ serving tequila to DVS fans. If you want to party, then these are your boys.

One final thing-
If you cant laugh at DVS then you should go to see a Doctor. DVS could be the worst or the best Rock'n'Roll band in the world. Only you can decide. But it surely will be a blast!

Nel 1979 Rikk ha suonato per un breve periodo con l’amico Casey Royer, nei Social Distortion e nei The Detours. Si unì agli Adolescents nel 1980 insieme a Royer e partecipò nel 1981 al celebre The Adolescents pubblicato da Frontier Records. Agnew lasciò la band nel 1981, poco dopo la pubblicazione di questo album, a causa di incomprensioni personali e musicali con gli altri membri della band. Lo rimpiazzò per breve tempo Pat Smear dei The Germs, in seguito chitarrista nei Nirvana e nei Foo Fighters. Agnew pubblicò il suo primo album da solista nel 1982, intitolato All By Myself, nel quale suonò tutti gli strumenti. Poi entrò per un breve periodo nei Christian Death, con cui pubblicò Only Theatre of Pain. Nel 1983 si unì ai D.I., con Casey Royer e il fratello minore Alfie Agnew. Nel 1986, in occasione della reunion degli Adolescents Agnew lasciò i D.I. e rimase con la band fino al successivo scioglimento datato 1989. In seguito Agnew tornò ad occuparsi della sua carriera solista, pubblicando Rikk Agnew’s Yard Sale e Turtle. Nel 2000 si riunì nuovamente agli Adolescents e continuò a suonare fino al 2003. Agnew è anche stato in tour con la formazione rinuita dei 45 Grave, al posto del chitarrista originale Paul Cutler, nel 2004 e nel 2005. Al momento è chitarrista nei PooP di Scott Hoogland, ex front-man dei The Mechanics. Agnew suona anche nei The Detours e nell’ultimo album dei Voodoo Church.

I Jack of Heart sono una band francese, per chi già sa non ha bisogna di presentazioni, per i più distratti, posso dire che sono tra le band più esagerate della scena garage punk, hanno inciso per tantissime etichette, una più bastarda dell'altra per citarne alcune: Born Bad Records, Slovenly Recordings, Nasty Product, Perpetrator Records, Profet Record, Rob's House Records, Certified PR Records e tante altre, quindi più di un marchio di fabbrica.
Famosi per i loro live distruttivi, sempre più vicini al blues ma anche all'attitudine punk! Per chi non li avesse mai visti, un occasione da non perdere!
Apriranno, per la prima volta sul palco, i Dead Cansado, una all stars band composta da vari brutti ceffi, che miscelano folk e punk con una sferzata noise per niente male!
Imperdibile serata per tutti gli appassionati (e non) di garagepunk blues.

In occasione del suo sessantesimo atto TORINO LOCAL SCENE festeggia nuovamente con il format che più amate, la serata COVER!

Il progetto DeathCore "One Shall Stand" nasce nella primavera del 2009 dalle ceneri di una vecchia formazione HardCore-NuMetal in cui erano presenti Dob (basso) Serj (chitarra) e Ponko (batteria). Le loro costanti idee di incattivire i suoni e del cercare componenti più inclini all' attitudine Death sono state molto apprezzate da 3 altri ragazzi, che hanno preso parte quasi subito al progetto, ovvero NoVa (voce) Danny (voce) e Ando (chitarra). Con una composizione quasi da "battaglia" di ben 6 membri gli One Shall Stand (il cui nome è stato scelto in relazione alla loro rinascita più d'impatto che mai) ha iniziato a sfornare pezzi propri e a riarrangiare cover con risultati più che soddisfacenti. Alcuni di loro fortemente coinvolti nella scena HardCore casertana hanno subito messo in luce la formazione rivelando nei testi oltre alle tematiche chiave del DeathCore anche un personale grido di sfida e astio contro la Società che opprime e lacera sempre più i gruppi di ragazzi che vogliono far valere le proprie idee... un grido che dice:

"WE ARE... THE ONES WHO SHALL STAND!"

A oltre 20 anni dalla loro ultima comparsa ritornano in Italia i micidiali The ACCÜSED (USA), pietra miliare del Crossover Metal/Punk e dal 1981 portabandiera di quello che loro hanno battezzato “Splatter Rock”, un incrocio virale di HC, Thrash e horror R’n'R con voce scartavetrata!! Ad affiancare questo colosso ci pensano i JESTER BEAST di Torino, Freak-core Thrash dal lontano 1983 che ritornano alla carica con formazione rinnovata (nuovo bassista)… chi li ha visti in azione negli ultimi 2 anni dalla loro reunion sa che mazzata aspettarsi! Uno scontro di titani da non perdere, ospitato dallo United Club di Torino e presentato da Blitz Studio in collaborazione con FOAD Records

Formed in 1981 in Oak Harbor, Washington by bassist Chibon 'Chewy' Batterman, Dana Collins and guitarist Tom Niemeyer. John Dahlin was the vocalist from 1982-1984. The addition of Blaine Cook (frontman of Seattle hardcore punk group The Fartz) fit nicely into the group's migration towards a more heavy metal-based sound. In 1984, The band dubbed their style "splatter rock," in homage to their favorite genre of horror films. Their hybrid musical formula was distinguishable by Blaine's unusual choking-sound vocals, Niemeyer's muted, choppy, buzz-saw guitars, dark metallic riffs, and rapid-fire drumming. The Accused regrouped in 2003, playing live shows in the Seattle area, then releasing the album "Oh, Martha!" on their own CONDAR Records label. This "comeback record" landed on Revolver magazine's Top Ten albums of the year and Writer's Lists from Metal Maniacs magazine. "Oh, Martha!" followed the tradition of many earlier releases by The Accused in that it featured a track with a guest lead singer. For the "Oh, Martha!" project, guitarist Tommy Niemeyer was given the microphone to belt-out lead vocals on the angry fan-appreciation burner, "13 Letters"; a song with no lead vocal credit printed on the album. The so-called "reunion" line-up was short-lived. After the reunion the line-up consisted of Brad Mowen, Dorando Hodous and Tommy Niemeyer. The re-vamped line-up released two new songs, Scotty Came Back and Fuck Sorry, January 26, 2007. Then in 2010, The Accused put out a 14-song full-length CD, titled "The Curse of Martha Splatterhead", released on Southern Lord Records. The Accused returns in 2011 with fresh new talent and, of course, the King of Splatter Rock Tommy Niemeyer at the at the helm!!!

Sonny Vincent, l’icona del rock’n roll selvaggio e rumoroso… in un imperdibile concerto a Civitanova Marche! Veramente imperdibile perché Sonny Vincent è uno di quei rari esemplari di esseri umani che è stato punk prima del punk! E’ stato proprio uno dei padri fondatori del movimento punk newyorkese, prima dei Ramones e prima che il fenomeno inglese dei Sex Pistols portasse la parola punk nei libri di musica moderna e contemporanea. Nel 1976 fonda i Testors e da lì inizia a scrivere la sua storia. Dagli anni 80 ha messo in piedi una serie di gruppi (Shotgun Rationale, The Dons…) e numerosi progetti solisti in cui collabora con artisti del calibro di Lou Reed, John Cale, Jimmy Page dei Led Zeppelin e con grandi nomi della musica rock alternativa come MC5, Damned, Iggy Pop and the Stooges, Sonic Youth, Velvet Underground, Suicide, The Replacements, Husker Du, the Cramps, Television, Black Flag, Half Japanese, Rocket From The Crypt, Voidoids, Plasmatics e molti altri. Dalla sua vita potrebbe essere tratta la sceneggiatura per un film, si fa arrestare più volte, internare in manicomio e pestare quasi a morte dalla polizia. Nel frattempo produce una considerevole discografia e suona in tutto il mondo.

Stilisticamente Sonny Vincent è un carismatico guitar hero del garage rock e nel suo tour italiano verrà accompagnato dai Backsliders.
Evento assolutamente fondamentale per tutti gli amanti del punk rock e del rock’n'roll più selvaggio e pericoloso.
E portarsi i tappi per le orecchie vuol dire barare!

giovane gruppo garage punk di toulouse sulla scia di 13th floor elevators e delle compilation crypt piu' psicotiche, con diversi tour europei alle spalle, un sette pollici su nasty product e un 10 registrato da lo' spider (magnetix/movie star junkies).il gruppo e'in parte composto da membri della vecchia scena punk psichedelica del sud della francia (il batterista mowgli e' stato uno dei primi batteristi dei jack of heart) e dopo innumerevoli date in europa che hanno toccato oltre che germania svezia e norvegia anche polonia ed ungheria approdano in italia per la prima volta a torino allo united club...

Roito is a Turin based hardcore band. We are born in 2008, we are
friends then musicians. For us hardcore means something more than music,
is an attitude, a way of living, not just a genre or a brand.
We've played live shows all around northern Italy and we've shared the
stage with a lot of great bands.
Our sound is strongly influenced by 80's and 90's Italian hardcore
bands, Californian punk hardcore and Spanish crust as well.
We've recorded an Ep in 2009 and now we are working on our first full
length.

Il quintetto suona un hc rabbioso e violento, il suono proposto risulta
piu' che valido e di sicura presa, il tutto grazie ad una fiorente
attivita' live che li ha portati in giro per l'Italia e presto anche a
varcare i confini nostrani.
Il gruppo patavino nasce nel 2007 dalle ceneri di due gruppi della
provincia veneta i MissOff e gli Nba, composto da Gigo (voce), Marco e
Alberto (chitarre - cori), Mauro (basso) e Alessandro (batteria - cori),
nel 2008 registrano una demo composta da cinque pezzi (tra cui una cover
di Brusco) tutti pezzi con liriche in italiano, la demo fa il giro dell'
Italia grazie al FREE DOWNLOAD e lo si nota dai tanti Kids che cantano
le canzoni ai concerti.
La canzone che gira di piu' sicuramente e la cover di Brusco "Sangue del
mio sangue" , infatti sin dalle prime battute la voce, accompagnata da
un gran bel giro di basso, si rende protagonista di una prova
magistrale, buoni anche i cori ed i piccoli assoli della chitarra, ma
l'elemento decisivo appare soprattutto il gran lavoro svolto dalla
batteria, un pezzo riuscitissimo.

engineer all'Hate Studio (e gia' produttore di nuovi gruppi di successo

I Thee S.T.P. sono un gruppo punk rock italiano, attivo dal 1996, il cui sound è particolarmente influenzato dalle sonorità glam rock; ad oggi hanno pubblicato 5 album e partecipato a diverse compilation e 7″.
Negli anni 2000 hanno supportato band come New York Dolls, Velvet Revolver, The Hellacopters, Gluecifer, Backyard Babies e Rancid, ed hanno anche partecipato all’Independent Days Festival nel 2003 e 2004.
Nel 2010 registrano e pubblicano “Success Through Propaganda”. Primo disco senza uno dei membri fondatori, Stiv America.

Ammaliati dalla vita, dal sesso e dalla morte, suonano un ibrido velenoso di hard rock e punk, intriso in una patina di decadenza glamour. Ritmi furiosi e taglienti si fondono con ritornelli accattivanti e liriche al vetriolo, una alchimia di emozioni che spazia dalla violenza suburbana all’introspezione più oscura, in bilico tra disillusione e percezioni distorte.
Padrini del Glam Attakk, festival glam rock che li ha visti esibirsi assieme a band come The Dogs D’Amour, Peppermint Creeps, Vains of Jenna, Crashdiet, Gemini 5 e Private Line, gli Hollywood Killerz si distinguono come animali da palcoscenico e protagonisti indiscussi di live show energici e incendiari.
Il nuovo album “Dead On Arrival”, uscito a dicembre 2010 per la logic(il)logic, contiene 13 tracce, che rivelano i differenti aspetti degli Hollywood Killerz, dalla furia glam punk di “700.000″ e “Lovecrash” all’incrocio tra hard rock e disco beats di “Over & Over”, dalle melodie oscure di “Through The Sand” e “Luxury Depression” alle rasoiate punk di “Our Memories May Be Right” e “Girls r Dead”, fino agli episodi più lenti e introspettivi di “How (Could I)” e “More Than It Hurts You”.

Me l’avevano detto che sarebbe finita così. In fondo lo sapevo anch’io, almeno me l’aspettavo. Non poteva andare avanti molto con quel nerd. C’era qualcosa che non mi convinceva, non saprei dire se fosse più il suo modo di fare così sbadatamente superficiale o la sua totale incapacità di confrontarsi con i suoi limiti. Beh, non lo sopportavo più, provate voi a stare gomito a gomito con uno che si comporta come un manichino, ride sguaiatamente e quando decide che è la sera giusta per portarti a ballare si dimena come un pazzo senza avere la più pallida concezione di cosa sia un movimento armonioso (hai mai sentito parlare di headbanging amore mio?), torturando ad ogni mossa la sua tanto inseparabile quanto improponibile camicia hawaiana che farebbe invidia ad “American pie”. E vogliamo parlare dei capelli? C’è più gel su quella testa che nel reparto haircare del supermercato. Inammissibile, quasi quanto la soffocante presenza di quelli che lui si ostina a chiamare amici, un’orda di piccoli ed insignificanti sedicenti geni della finanza, per i quali il massimo della trasgressione è metter i piedi sul sedile di fronte quando si va al cinema. E stasera mi toccherà vederli tutti…ma cosa mai mi sarà passato per la testa quando ho accettato di uscire. Si va a vedere un concerto, mi dicono. Bella questa, come minimo sarà la filarmonica del Mississippi. Entriamo, l’atmosfera è stranamente calda, un tipo vestito di pelle nera mi passa vicino e mi sbuffa una nuvola di fumo in faccia. Cerco uno sgabello per sedermi, prendo una birra. In giro solo capelli lunghi, jeans dai quali spuntano i miei stivali preferiti, tatuaggi e bandane. Quei dementi dei miei amici (chiamiamoli così per capirci) sono scandalizzati. Io non vedo l’ora di scoprire cosa succederà dopo. Si spengono le luci, vedo delle ombre che si avvicinano al palco, solo un piccolo faro che riverbera una sfumatura violetta sul soffitto mi permette di intravedere che stanno sistemandosi gli strumenti. Parte una rullata di batteria, la chitarra scarica e il basso pompa. È un’esplosione. “Please welcome the Grrrrrreat Dolls of Fire” BOOOOOOOOOOM!

La band THE BONE MACHINE nasce per mano di tre ragazzi nel ’99 ad Aprilia.
Il loro sound è un divertente, ironico, grottesco e provocatorio mix di Rockabilly, Garage, Psychobilly e Swing mescolati tra loro in modo molto originale e ai quali si accostano testi in italiano che trasudano humor nero e una sottile critica alla società contemporanea.

Si presentano dal vivo con un tipico abbigliamento 'fifties' e delle maschere della Lucha Libre
(il wrestling messicano per capirci, che spesso era accompagnato da eventi rock'n'roll),
dentro il loro mondo c'è tutto: Elvis, il rock'n'roll, il punk, il macabro, l'horror, il sesso,
riff travolgenti e ritornelli provocatori che, uniti alla cultura e al mondo Hot Rod, fanno scintille.

Con giri di contrabbasso, chitarre selvagge, batteria sostenuta e una voce gracchiante dal suono splendidamente vintage, Jack Cortese [voce e chitarra], Black Macigno [batteria] & Big Daddy Root [contrabasso] si ispirano al “Desperate R'n'R/RockabillySwing” selvaggio degli anni ’50 al “Psychobilly/Punk” degli anni ‘70/’80 e al “Blues negro" e primitivo, non dimenticando certo l'Hardcore italiano anni '80 e quello made in USA.

The Female Troubles were born in 2006 after a successful experience with a punk rock band called The Sbirros (2000-2005).
They are a trio and they play punk'n'roll with attitude and d.i.y. philosophy.
